Become an Agriculture Advisory Board Member
The Board of Directors is accepting Applications and Statements of Qualification for consideration from candidates seeking appointment as Agriculture Advisory Board members for the 2016-2017 term. Applications and Statements of Qualification are available at 109 SE 1st St. Morton Texas or by calling 806.266.5584. The statue requires a minimum of three members. Currently, there is one member serving. The primary function of the Agriculture Advisory Board is to advise the chief appraiser on major issues dealing with agricultural appraisal, degree of intensity standards, and other agricultural use and appraisal issues. Board members should be familiar with local land use, degree of intensity, typical production practices, lease and production costs, typical net to land estimates, crops and crop yields. Agriculture Advisory Board members will be appointed for a two-year term. The board will meet at least once a year.
All applications must be received at Cochran Central Appraisal District on or before April 14th 2017.
